Was that a commuter bus?

mixed-use-commuter-bus-300x263There are a couple of little known commuter bus lines in Indianapolis that do not get enough attention. Both the Carmel and Fishers express buses provide efficient transport between the northside and downtown. I ride the Carmel line about 4 days per week; from one mixed use neighborhood to another. At $3 each way, the cost is about half of the cost of driving (including gas and parking downtown). I’ve done the math; its an incredible deal. In addition, I incorporate 45 minutes of work time on each end of the day while on the bus, which also means more time with my family. I started riding it in November and have watched it continue to grow in ridership every week. I’m not the only one that makes it work for them; there are many people on their laptops and PDA’s for the duration of the trip.
