Milhaus’ Vice President of Development Named to Indianapolis Forty Under 40 Class of 2025

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 11, 2025) - Milhaus, a leading mixed-use development, construction, and property management company, announces that Brad Vogelsmeier, Vice President of Development, has been named to the Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty Under 40 Class of 2025. This prestigious recognition honors Vogelsmeier's decade of contributions to the multifamily housing industry and his impactful work in the Indianapolis community.

Brad Vogelsmeier's selection as one of the Forty Under 40 honorees highlights his role in creating and shaping communities in Indianapolis and across the country . His leadership drove Milhaus' expansion into new markets like Kansas City, Phoenix, Charlotte, Austin, and Dallas, resulting in over 20 projects completed or under construction. These projects total more than 7,500 apartment units and 75,000 square feet of commercial space, contributing to over $2 billion in investment nationwide, including over $350 million invested in greater Indianapolis in the last five years alone.  He is spearheading the $200 million transformation of the "Gold Building," a qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) Development, into 354 apartments in partnership with Citimark and Gershman. This project anchors the revitalization of downtown Indianapolis’ City Market block

During his five-year tenure as vice president, Vogelsmeier led the development of five major Indianapolis communities: AYR, NESE, Lavina, Versa, and Grid.  These projects illustrate his focus on building thriving neighborhoods.

The Forty Under 40 recognition highlights Brad Vogelsmeier's commitment to community engagement and leadership, reflecting Milhaus' dedication to fostering talent and innovation. His five-year term with the Greater Virginia Avenue Corridor’s Economic Improvement District and his recent appointment as the Indiana Urban Land Institute Chair showcase his commitment to investing in and building up local communities. 

Vogelsmeier was honored during a breakfast reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom on April 10. A special recognition publication will be available at the event and included in the April 11 issue of the Indianapolis Business Journal.
