This week, the IndyFringe Festival opens in downtown Indianapolis at eight different theatre venues where visitors will be treated to music, comedy, drama, magic, performance art, dance, and storytelling. The Festival runs August 14-24 and features more than 40 entertainers and artists. This year, Milhaus’ Circa Apartments has signed on as sponsor for IndyFringe’s Basile Theater at 719 E. St. Clair. Jake Dietrich, Director of Development at Milhaus, says, “As neighbors, the sponsorship is an ideal way to solidify community relationships in the area.” In addition to Circa’s sponsorship, Milhaus is a general sponsor of the event.

IndyFringe has been a longstanding proponent of culture and arts in the Chatham Arch neighborhood. The Festival, in its 10th year, attracts approximately 25,000 visitors into the area over a ten day period. Dietrich says, “Leasing associates from Circa will be manning a table next to the IndyFringe Beer Tent to provide visitors with information about Milhaus rental properties, Circa in particular, and give tours of model units.”
In addition, Milhaus employees will be helping out at the beer tent engaging with both the IndyFringe staff and neighborhood residents. The beer tent is one of the festival’s most popular places to hang out between shows, with its worldwide beer tastings, live music, comedians and storytelling. This year, SAISON is the official Flat 12 Bierwerks brew for the Festival. The beer tent will be open every day except Monday and Tuesday during the Festival.

“When it comes to sponsorship opportunities, there are so many options,” says Dietrich. “Early on, we made some concrete decisions to seek out and support initiatives that target our specific demographic of residents and that also align with our mission and values. We choose to partner with organizations and events that support what we stand for: sustainability, arts and culture, health and wellness, community building and the environment. IndyFringe meets those criteria on several levels. Not only have we invested monetarily in several downtown events, but Milhaus employees have donated man hours on several occasions. Doing that gives us a chance to engage on a deeper level with the people and places we support.”
