  • Vice presidents named for development, construction and operations

  • More than 83 years of combined experience

  • Florida growth focus with construction oversight in Kansas City, Columbus and Pittsburgh

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 2, 2025) - Milhaus, a national award-winning developer, owner and operator of Class-A multifamily properties, announces the addition of three senior executives to its regional leadership team. Ephraim E. Grubbs, III, joins as the Vice President of Construction, Alfred Rembowski as Vice President of Development for Florida and Christin Tenpenny joins as Vice President of Operations for Property Management. These strategic appointments significantly strengthen the company's expertise in the Southeast region.

Together, Grubbs, Rembowski and Tenpenny bring 83 years of combined multifamily experience across development, construction and operations. Alfred Rembowski will drive Florida development, Ephraim E. Grubbs III will provide oversight of construction in Kansas City, Columbus and Pittsburgh while supporting Milhaus’ preconstruction team during bidding, and Christin Tenpenny will oversee property management across the Milhaus portfolio.

"This strategic expansion of our leadership team raises the bar for how we develop, build and operate across multiple markets," said Tadd Miller, Co-founder and CEO, Milhaus. "Their track records in Florida and across the Southeast will help us gain a stronger foothold in the region, develop faster, deliver consistent quality, and create better outcomes for all stakeholders, from residents to investors."

Alfred Rembowski, VP of Development

Rembowski has led Class A multifamily development in Florida and the Carolinas, managing zoning and permitting, coordinating design, guiding construction and opening new communities. He has worked on more than 8,000 apartments in the Southeast and directly developed more than 3,000 units. That experience gives Milhaus immediate depth in high‑growth submarkets where demand for quality housing remains strong.

"Florida’s momentum demands disciplined execution," said Alfred Rembowski, Vice President of Development, Florida, Milhaus. "I’ll draw on experience and recent successes in Orlando and Charlotte to support opportunities across the state and deliver Class A communities that expand Milhaus’ footprint throughout Florida."

Ephraim E. Grubbs, III, VP of Construction

Grubbs will leverage his extensive construction background to ensure Milhaus maintains its high standards of quality across multiple markets. His experience includes overseeing all aspects of construction operations, from developing goals and operating plans to establishing organizational structures and reviewing construction results. In his new role, he will focus on optimizing construction processes and supporting the company's growth initiatives in key markets. A retired Army colonel and former 82nd Airborne Division jumpmaster, he holds a master's in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College.

“I’ve spent my career building teams that plan well, execute with discipline and finish strong," said Ephraim Grubbs,III, Vice President of Construction, Milhaus. “I’ll apply the rigor I used leading as a multi‑state General Contractor, reinforced by my Army leadership experience and business training, to sharpen schedules, strengthen trade partnerships and deliver consistent quality across every market."

Christin Tenpenny, VP of Operations for Property Management

Tenpenny's appointment as Vice President of Operations for Property Management comes at a strategic time as Milhaus expands its portfolio in the Southeast. Her extensive background working with large institutions and individual investors, combined with her CAM and CAPS accreditations from the National Apartment Association Education Institute, positions her to elevate operational excellence across the entire Milhaus portfolio.

"The multifamily landscape continues to evolve, and Milhaus is positioned at the forefront of this transformation," said Christin Tenpenny, Vice President of Operations for Property Management, Milhaus. "By focusing on operational efficiency and resident satisfaction, we'll create communities where people truly want to live while maximizing value for our investors."

These appointments follow Milhaus’ acquisition of ContraVest’s property management company and reflect a deliberate strategy to strengthen leadership with industry veterans who bring deep expertise and local market insight. As Milhaus continues to expand its presence in the Southeast, the team is poised to capitalize on strong rental demand in markets such as Charlotte, Tampa, and Orlando while maintaining its focus on delivering exceptional resident experiences.
