Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc to Host Plant Sale with Milhaus

All Proceeds from Indy Cultural Trail Fall Plant Sale cultivated by Milhaus to support the Cultural Trail

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc today announced it is hosting the Indy Cultural Trail Plant Sale - cultivated by Milhaus, featuring a dozen species that grow throughout the Cultural Trail’s five acres of gardens. The plant sale is available online now or in person on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday September 20 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.. All proceeds from the plant sale benefit the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, a 501(c)3 organization.

All plants available in the sale are either bulbs, propagated plants growing on the Cultural Trail, or plants sourced from partners at a local nursery. All plant species available through the Cultural Trail Plant Sale - cultivated by Milhaus can be found along the eight-mile Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.

“We are excited to host our first plant sale which provides both an opportunity for people to bring their favorite plants found on the Cultural Trail to their home garden, and also support the daily maintenance and care of the Cultural Trail,” said Kären Haley, Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc executive director.

The sale now live for online ordering. Pick up for pre-orders and online orders, as well as storefront shopping, are available on September 19 and 20 at the Indianapolis Cultural Trail headquarters, 132 W. Walnut St., Indianapolis, IN 46204. In-person shopping will be outdoors and spread out to allow for social distancing. Masks are also required for in-person shopping and will be provided.

Garden favorites featured in the sale include the Allium ‘Globe Master’ and Iris germanica ‘Swingtown’, also known to Trail users as the “Alabama Street Purple Irises.” A full list of plants can be found on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail’s website, along with a description of each plant, mature size, bloom time, care requirements, and where the plants can be found along the Trail.
