Chris Beres Joins Milhaus as VP of Investor Relations

Beres’ 13+ years of institutional investment strengthen and guide Milhaus’ capital sourcing. 

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 17, 2020) – Milhaus, a national award-winning developer, owner and operator of class A, in-fill multi-family properties, announces today that Chris Beres has been hired as Vice President of Investor Relations. Beres has served in a variety of investment management and oversight roles over the past 13 years and will use this experience to lead Milhaus’ business development, fundraising and ongoing investor relations functions. 

Beres recently served as Vice President of Investment Oversight at Nuveen in Chicago where he was responsible for the oversight of more than $200 billion of AUM in private and public markets real assets, alternatives, multi-asset, and specialized investment teams and strategies. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at Brookfield Asset Management in roles of increasing responsibility. His background covers investment due diligence, manager research, asset allocation, and product development functions. His experience in client relationship management across a range of real estate investment strategies combined with his commitment to leadership will allow Beres to play a pivotal role in managing Milhaus’ business development efforts while enhancing the quantity and quality of its capital relationships.

In his role of VP of Investor Relations, Beres will serve as the main point of contact for our institutional and private equity investors, managing relationships across the Milhaus portfolio, as well as aid in capitalizing projects by facilitating equity placements.
