Alexandra (Alex) Jackiw, CPM® has been named as one of the 2015 Women of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal. The award honors some of the city’s most successful women from both the public and private sectors for their professional accomplishments and community service.

Alex joined Milhaus in 2014 as President of Milhaus Management where she leads all property management and operations of the Milhaus-owned multi-family portfolio as well as the company’s expansion into management services for select third-party clients.

As a nationally recognized real estate executive with extensive experience, Alex has managed large portfolios throughout the U. S. for both privately-held and publicly traded companies.

She is also very active in several professional organizations. Recently, she served as Chairman of the Board of the National Apartment Association (NAA) in 2013 and President of the NAA Education Institute from 2008 through 2009. Alex is also a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, National Multi Housing Council, Housing Education and Research Association, and IndyCREW. She has also earned several important credentials: Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) and is a licensed Indiana real estate broker.

Her sphere of influence extends to educating future professionals. She is past chair of the Residential Property Management Advisory Board at Virginia Tech and recently completed a four-year term as President of the Ball State University Residential Property Management Advisory Board. Alex has held adjunct faculty appointments at both Virginia Tech and Ball State University.

A respected multifamily industry speaker, she has presented at conferences throughout the United States and is frequently called upon to deliver keynote addresses and seminars on a variety of industry topics for real estate organizations and trade groups.

The IBJ chooses the Women of Influence based on three criteria: influence in their company and industry, reputation based on their experience, integrity and leadership as well as track record of accomplishment.

“Alex is recognized both regionally and nationally as one of the most accomplished property management leaders in the industry and we are fortunate she is part of our team,” said Tadd Miller, Co-founder of Milhaus. “We are proud of her latest accomplishment as well as the impact she makes on our company and industry on a daily basis.”
