Jason Sturman joins Milhaus as a Principal and Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

In his role he will oversee acquisitions and dispositions, capital markets, investment management and investor relations.

Sturman has been a regional senior vice president at Duke Realty (NYSE: DRE), where he oversaw all functions for the company’s 10 million sq. ft. portfolio in the western region of the United States. In his previous role as senior vice president acquisitions, Jason was responsible for the acquisition of more than $3 billion across the U.S. and the structuring of over $1 billion in joint ventures.

“Jason will be a key asset as we expand nationally,” said Tadd Miller, CEO, Milhaus. “He adds to our team’s geographic knowledge and organizational management experience, especially now that we have multiple offices across 8 distinct markets with several types of developments and property management services.”

“Milhaus has assembled a best-in-class team that has built a tremendous portfolio of developments,” said Sturman. “I’m thrilled to be involved in the next chapter of the company as we continue to grow beyond a regional developer to a national owner and operator.”

Sturman is an Indianapolis native and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a MBA from the University of Chicago.

“Milhaus continues to grow quickly, but thoughtfully. With Jason as our CIO, it will allow us to increase our in-house expertise in new and exciting ways,” added Miller. “Combined with our current leadership team, we now have the institutional and national financial expertise and credibility to sustain Milhaus’ growth from a local developer to a national housing operator and owner.”
